You are here: Summer > Region > Radmer

The Radmertal valley is located 7 km away from the Eisenbundesstrasse road, in one of the most beautiful landscapes of ‘Green Styria’ between the Gesäuse National Park and the Eisenerz Alps. Here you will find nature in its most original form: wild, powerful, impetuous and untamed and then gentle, romantic and full of tranquillity. The Lugauer towers above Radmer – the spectacular ‘Styrian Matterhorn’.

Radmer an der Stube (also known as Vorderradmer) is the main resort in the valley. Here you will find an impressive attraction: the Baroque pilgrimage church ‘Zum heiligen Antonius von Padua’ which was built in 1602 by Emperor Ferdinand II and which is one of the most beautiful in the country. 4 km away, at the end of the valley, is Radmer an der Hasel (also known as Hinterradmer). Most of the starting points for hikes and mountain tours are based here. A visit to the copper show mine with ‘Austria’s smallest tunnel train’ is a must.
